Lotus Pond is located in Zuoying, Kaohsiung. This man-made lake is surrounded Cijin Temple, the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, the Confucius Temple, Turtle Mountain, and Old Zuoying. Information on these attractions is available in English at the information center near the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas.

To get there, you can take the MRT to R16 Zuoying or R15 Ecological District. From there, you can walk down Mingtan Road or take one of the numerous buses. From Zuoying HSR station, there is a free shuttle which runs to Zuoying TRA Station that will drop you quite near to the pond. From R15, the Red 51 runs to Lotus Pond.

Lotus Pond is a must-see in Kaohsiung, with the perfect balance of scenery and culture. Don’t miss your opportunity to walk in the dragon’s mouth and out the tiger’s, learn a little about Confucius at the Confucius temple, and stop by the Wetlands park on the east side of the pond for some bird watching.
