Welcome to Every Mile a Memory. My name is Sarah, and I’m the founder of Every Mile a Memory, a place for all travelers to find information about new destinations and other travel tips. I’m a world traveler, language learner, delicious food eater, adventure seeker, trip planner, wildlife finder, and travel tip writer. I love potato salad, fuzzy puppies, sunsets over the water, British accents, and a nice glass of wine. But travel is my greatest love.
If you are here, I bet you love travel, too.
I know this love of mine has its ups and downs. Trust me.
I’ve been homeless for a night in Osaka, harassed by hoteliers in Morocco, sleepless in a hostel while the couple below me did the horizontal tango, crashed a few scooters in Taiwan, realized that camel is the most uncomfortable form of transportation, eaten guinea pig in Peru, gone weeks with no hot water, and come face to face with many creepy crawly critters in my hotel rooms.
On the flip side, I learned to love myself while traveling solo after a bad breakup, fell madly in love (to someone with a lovely accent!), faced my fear of fish to become a certified scuba diver, stumbled my way through learning Mandarin, made some of the coolest friends a girl could ask for, and discovered numerous beautiful destinations along the way.
I am sure you have had a few ups and downs too!
I am here to share my journey with you, my fellow travelers. Join me as I begin my next big adventure – my first year-long round the world trip!
Along the way, I will provide you with resources and anecdotes to make your traveling days a little smoother or whet your wanderlust to discover a new part of this gorgeous world.
