As I have stated before, Taiwan is the most convenient country on earth. 7-11 has proved it once again by allowing anyone to print any PDF or word document so long as they have an internet connection. At only $2NT per A4, black and white page, this eliminates the need for anyone to own their own printer.
The directions on the ibon machine located in almost every 7-11 in Taiwan are in Chinese, so I thought I would make a tutorial showing how to print documents.
1. Upload files online
To begin, use www.ibon.com.tw/0100/file_upload.aspx to upload your files. The website is in Chinese, but Google Translate worked adequately enough to allow me to complete the form. You will need to provide your email address and your name. Choose which file you want and agree to the terms of service then hit “Confirm Upload.” On the next screen, you will see two dates and a confirmation number. The dates are for the time uploaded and the time the upload will expire. You will need to take the confirmation number with you to 7-Eleven in order to access the file.
2. Print Documents
Head down to your local 7-Eleven and find the ibon machine. Everything will be in Chinese, but point to the buttons I have indicated with red arrows and you should find your document. Of course, if something goes wrong, the cashier will be ready to assist you.

You should see your document here. Check to see if it is correct before proceeding.
On this screen, you can choose A4 or A3 paper as well as black and white or color.
Choose one or two sheets per page.
Confirm the number of pages, details of printing, and the price.
3. Pay
Collect your document from the nearby copy machine/printer. Don’t forget to take your ticket from the ibon machine and proceed to the cashier. (I believe there is an option to use an EasyCard as well, but I am not one hundred percent sure.) The cashier will scan the ticket and after you pay him or her, the process is complete.
