Tardyhill Nature Park

April 28, 2013

In an effort to keep you all updated and improve my blogging/photography skills, I have a new challenge for myself. I am going to post a photo every day for the next month and write a little something about it.

Today’s photo is of a Buff-Striped Keelback. As many of you already know, much of our time in Taiwan has centered around looking for new snakes. E found this snake today on a hike through Tardyhill Nature Park.

Tardyhill is located about 45 minutes north of Kaohsiung. To get there, follow the 17 north and turn left when you see the brown signs. It makes a great escape from the city and offers beautiful views of the sea. The park used to be a military area and many of the buildings remain. There are also some very small mud volcanoes to contemplate.
